Lost And Found

I was travelling on Service 74e (SBS 2723E) today evening at about 6.55pm. The bus captains for Service 74 & Service 74e,who know me will know that I would not usually take this particular bus as I had a misunderstanding with the usual bus captain who drives this bus usually.

Since it is not the usual bus captain who is driving the bus, I boarded the bus.It happens to be the bus captain who gave me a ride, despite being off duty already the last time, Uncle Guan. As the bus was travelling towards Ang Mo Kio MRT station, a passenger asked me if a black wallet lying on the seat was mine. When I answered no, I also told Uncle Guan about it and said I will be following him to Hougang Central Interchange to report the find to the passenger service centre there. I knew that this was his last trip for the day and he needed to drive the bus back to Bukit Batok Depot and he was running behind schedule. I agreed to do him a favour since he has been ferrying me for the past 12 years when I was a Ngee Ann Poly student.

My message to the passenger who dropped her wallet, I think your name is Ms Euince Chong, from what I see from your student concession card. I have given your wallet to the Passenger Service Centre at Hougang Central Interchange. Please go & claim it. I believe that you have boarded the bus from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. The bus driver remembers you as he told you that you tried to use concession card when you boarded the service, which is not allowed on this Fast Forward Service 74e. If I am not wrong, I have seen you alight at the AMK Hub bus stop. We discovered your wallet when someone thought that the wallet was mine.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
