Vesak Day Singing Session

Although I am still a little sick and my exam is in 17 days time, I still felt that I need a break before I restart my engine to complete my revision and my new job responsibilities from Monday as I will be taking over from my resigned colleague for the time being till either a replacement has been found or my resigned colleague managed to solve her domestic problems.
It was a 1st time experience for me going to Andrina’s place by bus. I was forced to do that due to this incident. The bus ride from my place to Yishun was fast, but the same cannot be said for the continuing journey from Yishun to Sembawang. Although, at least now I have some idea which are the buses that goes to her place, should the MRT fails again. It tends to happen frequently nowadays.
Sang this song as the last song with Lance. It was my 1st time doing duo singing with him, and we are happy that we managed to do it well, despite of my slight flu. :)

Tried this song for the 1st time. Felt that I can do better.
After the session, we headed to Bakerzrin at Northpoint as Jonathan Ya had the discount vouchers.

Their pasta was a disappointment, as the Bratwurst  Pasta that me, Jonathan, Andrina and Lance had, didn’t look like what was presented on the menu and it tasted like a pasta set filled with black vingear, that left a sour taste in our mouths. The poached egg and ham pasta was rather tasteless, according to Alex but the Ham & Bacon Penee in Pink Sauce, according to Jas was good.
I enjoyed the deserts that we had though. The tiramisu cake and mango mousee was not bad.
If given a choice to dine there again, I would only choose the deserts, but not the pasta.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. After the dinner, we indulged ourselves in some German wine before we were asked to pose for photos. After that, we adjourned to Harry’s Bar for a drink and chat session. Jonathan was so afraid

My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
